YOUTH PROGRAMS

Youth Climbing programs at The Quarry exist to engage and empower youth (ages 6–18). From Camps, to Club, to Teams, The Quarry offers many programs in order to meet the needs of all young climbers. Our programs are designed to teach safety and proper climbing technique. As our youth improve their climbing skills, their social confidence and self-esteem also grow. In addition to building friendships, skills, and physical strength, our youth create a healthy foundation for lifelong participation in an amazing sport.

BASE CAMP

Ages 6–12

Base Camp is designed to help kids learn the basics of climbing, get fit, and build confidence. This program is typically scheduled in 8 weeks blocks, with 10-week camps in the summer, and can be repeated multiple times. Base Camps are an excellent introduction to a team environment where acceptance and community are fostered. Kids will learn climbing techniques, safety, and terminology throughout the course. Starting at $199+tax per participant.

SUMMIT CAMP

Ages 13–17

Summit Camp was created to help teens learn the fundamentals of climbing, fitness, and working in a team environment. This program is typically scheduled in 8 weeks blocks, with 10-week camps in the summer, and can be repeated multiple times. These camps are specifically geared toward a teenage audience and will focus on climbing technique, safety, and terminology. Starting at $199+tax per participant.

CLIMBING CLUB

Ages 9–13

  • Mondays & Wednesdays 4:00–6:00 pm.
  • $135 a month (includes Quarry Membership).

Climbing Club offers a great opportunity for youth to belong to a team, receive coaching, be challenged, learn new skills, and have fun. The club provides a unique setting for youth to grow and improve individually with the assistance of our dedicated coaches and supportive team environment. Youth in the club may climb to compete in competitions, or just for fun and fitness.

An extension of our Climbing Club, Recreation Team provides a great opportunity for youth to belong to a team, receive coaching, be challenged, learn new skills, and have fun. The Rec Team is designed for older youth to participate in a team with peers their age. The Rec Team provides a unique setting for youth to grow and improve individually, with the assistance of our dedicated coaches and supportive team environment. Youth in the Rec Team may climb to compete in competitions, or just for fun and fitness.

COMP TEAM

Ages 8–18

  • Tuesdays & Thursdays 4:00–6:30 pm, Saturdays 8:00–10:00 am.
  • $165 a month (includes Quarry Membership).

The Quarry Competitive Team is affiliated with USA Climbing and competes in local and regional competitions. The Comp Team is open to youth who are dedicated to training and competing. Our Comp Team follows USA Climbing’s schedule: Bouldering Sept–Jan, Roped climbing Feb–July. Like our other programs, the Comp Team is focused on fostering a supportive environment for youth to improve and excel by learning from their coaches and teammates.
